Meet Coventry
Coventry is a city in central England, located in West Midlands near Birmingham. It has a population of over 425 thousand inhabitants. Some of them are clients of our software house and interactive agency, for whom we dedicate our services of creating web and mobile apps, web designs, online stores and e-commerce.
1. History of Coventry
The city is well-known for the ruins of medieval Coventry Cathedral, as well as the local heroine Lady Godiva, who according to the legend rode naked a horse through the streets of Coventry to show her objection to the excessive rise of taxes by her husband Leofric. Her image is not only reproduced by numerous painters and sculptors, but also appears on Coventry's flag.
2. Culture of Coventry
Nowadays Coventry is still strongly associated with culture and history. Historical buildings are interlaced with modern facilities of cultural and industrial development. What's also interesting Coventry has won the title of UK City of Culture for 2021.
3. What to do in Coventry
Coventry is mostly appreciated for its location, for example a trip via train to Birmingham takes 20 minutes and to London 50 minutes. Nevertheless, Coventry has its own fascinating attractions to visit, for example Coventry Transport Museum or Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. If you want to spend time in the open air, go to Coombe Abbey Park or Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve.
