Patient On the Go is a mobile and web application that allows users to store and manage medical data. It enables patients to record diagnoses, test results, and medications, while providing doctors with secure access to this information for better health monitoring.
Introduction
The Patient On the Go app required refinement of key functionalities. The existing code was disorganised and incomplete, causing some features to work only on a single operating system or not at all. These issues also affected app performance and integration with the web version.
Elimination of application errors
Code refactoring
Significant performance improvements
Full functionality and ease of use
Implementation and Optimisation Process
We began by thoroughly analysing the application’s code, which was undocumented and incomplete. This required identifying errors and restructuring the code. Libraries were updated and processes optimised in both mobile and web versions. Repeating loops that caused slowdowns or crashes were eliminated, and the server was optimised for smoother communication with the web version.
All improvements were implemented simultaneously for iOS and Android. Thanks to code refactoring, the app now runs faster, and adding new features is simpler and safer.
Summary
Patient On the Go is available on both web and mobile platforms. Users can create patient and doctor accounts. Patients can log health information, accessible anytime and anywhere. Data can be shared directly with doctors, and collected statistics allow tracking of parameters such as blood sugar or blood pressure over weeks or months. This makes monitoring physical and mental health simple and convenient, removing the risk of forgotten test results during medical visits.
